These mats are great! My 7 month old son is allergic to our carpet and breaks out in a huge rash whenever he touches it! We tried putting blankets down but he always rolls off them and somehow gets on the carpet again. He also spits up a lot so we end up washing his play blankets often. I ordered two sets of these mats so I now have a 6x8 padded and easy to clean area for him to play on. They link together tightly and seem sturdy enough for baby play. I like these because they dont have the cutout shapes/letters like other mats that can be a choking hazard. They were also half the price of similar products which was a plus! I will probably buy more for grandmas house!

These mats are a good value. I purchased them for placing inside a 6' x 6' play yard for my grandson. They are working out great and are good quality. He's just started walking and loses his footing occasionally--they have done a good job at cushioning his falls. They are also comfortable for me to sit on when we are inside the play yard together interacting with his toys. They are easy to assemble, clean, and disassemble for the days when I'm not doing his day care. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

This is a great mat. The carpeting in my house was causing redness on our daughters skin and I wanted some flooring that would prevent that. This mat met our needs with some added advantages. On cold winter days, the mat does not cool down like the carpet does which allows our daughter to sit and play with her toys without being too chilly. Everyone who comes to our house asks us about it and wants one of their own, especially if they have small children home.

I use this flooring for the indoor play area for my Doggie Daycare. This is the 3rd purchase I have made. The rubber material is really hardwearing, easy to clean and a great insulation. I highly recommend it.

I am very pleased with my choice to purchase these mats for my 10-month-old son. We have hardwood floors, so this gives him a nice soft place for tummy time. It's very easy to keep clean (brush with dry cloth or wipe with wet cloth) and the colors are very cheerful.
We looked at the SkipHop mats, and after reading various reviews about trouble with pieces popping out, we decided to go with the FAR less expensive product. At this price, even if they get messed up fast (we have cats who like to scratch them, ugh) we can replace them at least three times before paying the cost of the SkipHop mat.
One note about the appearance: it is slightly different from the display picture. In the picture it appears that there are white borders between, but I'm assuming that this is actually the mats disassembled, about an inch apart--the colors of the mat are flush against each other with no white in between. And it looks great.

I bought this to make a safe play area for my 6 month old daughter. The mats as excellent, especially the fact that they interlock with each other almost perfectly. No cracks or crevice that stuff can get into.

Another good thing is that they come with an intelligent "border" so you can use only 4 out of 6 mats and have a smooth outside edge. Although the shipping was almost as much as the mats themselves, I'd say it was worth it.


8.) Dumb Question ... Which Side Up?

Just purchased these for my granddaughter's tummy time at my house. But I have a question: Which side is up ... the waffle side or the smooth side? I can see a reason for either one being the side the baby lies on. Moms, any suggestions? Also, what do you clean these with?

I am so pleased with this mat! I was going to buy the more expensive brand from the store but decided to see if I could find anything cheaper and this is by far the best for the money. I bought two sets, they look great and are tough. My kids, [...] year old twins, can't tear them up! Yet, they are softer than the hardwood floor in their bedroom. Now, they spend all of their time on these mats, playing. Only problem I found is that the borders do not match up in the corners. We tried and tried and eventually gave up and threw them away. Good thing is, the mat still looks great without them. I'm just so glad it doesn't have those letters and numbers that come out of the tile! With my children, that would have been a terrible idea!

The mat is great -- it's colorful, easy to install and clean. It might be a little too thin, as my baby still cries when she falls on it. I am sure it's better than falling on the floor, so I am not too concerned about that. What I am concerned about is that she's figured out at 8 months how to remove the borders and she uses them as teethers. She loves them. And my cat loves to sharpen her nails on the mat too.

I ordered two of these for a floor surface for my 1 year old grandsons's "play corral." I'm very pleased with the results: a surface that is firm enough for him to grip, balance, and stand . . . yet soft enough that tumbles are painless. The colors brighten the room, it is easy to clean, and the "puzzle squares" stay connected. Very highly recommended!!!

This was truly a great purchase. I have wood floors and grandkids. I wanted to put something on the floor that didn't slide around,but was soft and warm so the kids could play on. It is just wonderful The tiles are large and easy to assemble. You just lock the tiles together in any order and you have a safe, fun place for them to play. Even my grandson who is two and a half can put the pieces down for his sister who is 9 months old and just starting to crawl. They think it's great fun too. Would highly recommend this product.

The colors of these mats are rather more pastel than they appear on screen, quite pleasant and suitable for a living room if necessary. The mats have the right amount of cushion that provides good resistance when the baby is rolling around and doing push ups and yet provides good impact absorption for the baby's slips and falls. The mats are cut well and fit together very easily. I like the fact that we can take it apart and wash each piece easily, and yet don't have to deal with many tiny pieces.

I am using this for the floor when my son lays down. It keeps him much cooler than laying on a blanket and adds a little bit of a cushion without being squishy. Very colorful and textured so my son likes playing on it. This product has no real educational value. The dye inside the foam does fade a bit when wiping it down with soap and water so I make sure it's absolutely dry from cleaning before I put my son on it. He can't really chew on it so I don't see it as an issue.

These mats were exactly what I expected. I ordered them to us with the superyard xt play yard for my 10 month old son. They are bright and colorful, and the pieces stay together well. The border edges come off a little bit when walked over constantly but its easily put back on. For the price this is definitely a great value, all the similar products were three times as expensive!

I use this on the hardwood in areas where my baby tends to play. It's holding up pretty well, and easy to clean. The only thing is that my baby likes to lift up the outside strips and chew on them. Don't know how safe that is for him. Other than that, we also bring the mats over to grandparents and friends houses if we know they don't have carpets.

I wanted to order this mat, but for some reason it won't ship to Hawaii. This is disappointing... I don't understand why they can't ship here (yes, it's over the ocean- but it's still the U.S. and we're accustomed to paying more to have things shipped here). So what's the deal? And these folks are the ones with all the good mats :(

We wanted a soft place for our baby to hang out while she was not so steady sitting up. It is that, and the colors are bright without being obnoxious, so I'm happy to have it in the living room. The trim, though is problematic and I encourage the manufacturer to figure something else out. Our baby liked to pull it off and then chew on it. It comes apart pretty easily if gnawed on, so this poses a choking hazard. We removed the trim entirely, but then the "puzzle piece" that sticks out is itself tempting to chew on. As in all things, close supervision is needed, but I feel like this is a definite design flaw. Also, the texture of the mats makes them difficult to wipe clean. Dust and particles get caught in the little divets.
