We bought this toy for our 4 1/2 year old grandson who is always asking questions about how his body works. The smile on his face when he opened this gift was priceless! There are many small parts included, but with adult assistance, he enjoyed taking the body parts out and examining them. The pieces are made of a very soft plastic that almost feels slimy, but isn't. The "touch" added to the mystery of the organs and generated many more questions...a very good learning toy! A chart is included, labeling the body parts for easy identification. The molded outer body is made of two pieces of see-through hard plastic that snaps together easily. (Lay the backside of the body on the table while you replace the body parts and then snap the frontside in place to hold everything together.) A fun, fact-filled book is also included - full of great pictures and facts that are fun to read. This toy was perfect for our inquisitive grandson who is able to safely play with small parts. TOY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I ordered this to teach my children about anatomy. Two days after it arrived, I found my daughters and a friend of theirs playing with it. They actually played with it for a good hour, and then they played with it again the next day for a couple of hours. It is one of their favorite toys now. They don't even realize that it was meant to educate!

This is a model of the human body that can be taken apart and re-assembled. The internal organs are soft to feel more real. It comes with a chart identifying each organ and instructions (mainly for older kids and parents) which show how to put it back together. Paired with a children's anatomy book it's a great lab companion. It's geared to older children (8 and up) but my 4 year old niece loves to take it apart and have Mom & Dad help her put it back together. She is demonstrating an amazing understanding of basic anatomy. Both her parents tell me they now know more about anatomy than ever before. It has turned out to be quite educational for the whole family.

My four year old son wanted this for Christmas. He loves it--plays doctor with it.My 2 year old daughter loves it too. BUT it isn't made for small children. The clear plastic body broke when my son got too rough with it. I glued it and he still plays with it. The organs are realistic but easily get dirty so need to be kept off dirty surfaces. The scissors and tweezers were broken soon after getting but because my children stepped on them. I love this toy because my son has learned about the body but as far as durability, it is made for older children who know how to take care of it.

excellent puzzle. bought it for my very curious 5 yr old niece. she loves it. she learns from it. even her 3 yr old brother loves it. it was a little challenging but very motivating and inspiring for the child's mind specially if they have an interest in human anatomy.

My daughter received this as a gift when she was 5. She is very curious and this toy has helped her learn about the human body. She knows the names of the organs and can assemble the body without help. The organs are "gooey" and attract a lot of loose fuzz and hair, but we try to keep it at the table when she uses it instead on the carpet and it seems to do okay.

this toy is super cute, but if you kid doesn't know how to read it might be a bit boring for them to do alone. Mine was 6 when we got it and he played with it just a few times, but now that he's older i am hoping he will be more interested in it! very cute body with squishy organs, really cute concept. plastic outer body that holds it all in could snap in place a bit better.

This is an excellent toy for teaching young children about the human body. I bought this for my 4 year old, and she loves it! She has had it a few weeks and knows all the body parts, their functions, and where they go in the model. The book is funny as well as educational, and the price of the product was very reasonable.

I bought this for my toddler who started asking questions about "my inside body". He loves playing with the foreceps and tweezers, and as we take the organs out, we talk about what they are called and what they do. The "Organ-izer" is helpful, as are the instructions in the back of the book to help put the body back together again.

My daughter received this for her 5th birthday & couldn't wait to crack it open. The 'squishy' organs had significantly more detail than I expected, and the forceps & tweezers to remove them with made her feel "like a real doctor" as she said. There are also a bunch of removable bones & muscles. Combine this with a mat to place everything on to keep it organized & labeled, a nice book explaining what you are removing and how it helps the body, and detailed instructions on how to easily replace everything made this a winner for me to. My daughter is already asking when we can do it again. Highly recommend.

"You Explore It: Human Body" by Lucille M. Kayes is a science kit which includes a book and a model of the human body along with tweezers and forceps to remove the body parts. This kit looked so neat that we couldn't wait to get started on it!

The book is 33-pages long and has sections about cells, the mouth, stomach and intestines, kidneys and bladder, the diaphragm, heart, lungs, skin, muscles, bone and brain. Obviously it doesn't go into depth on any body part but the author does provide interesting and sometimes funny facts. There are some questions and answers including, "What are hiccups?" and "Why do you get a pain in your side when you run too far?" The book also includes instructions for "dissecting" the model and for putting it back together.

The kit includes a 13-inch tall model of the human body. There are 21 removable body parts including bones, muscles and organs. The organs are soft and squishy and fun to play with. You can pretend you are a surgeon and remove the parts with the included forceps and tweezers. The illustrations in the instructions are not super clear and it is a bit tricky to get all the organs back in the proper place, especially since the organs are so floppy. Nevertheless, it is a nice model to display on a bookshelf.

I would recommend this kit, "You Explore It: Human Body" by Lucille M. Kayes, for kids who want to learn more about the human body or who want to become doctors. I think this would make a good Christmas or birthday present for kids from the ages of about seven to fourteen. This kit was fun and interesting and I think lots of kids would like it.

We bought this as a birthday gift for our 7 year old daughter. She has been into the human body these days, so we thought this would be pretty cool. It is very neat. The book has a ton of information that makes me want to read and relearn it all! The body parts are a bit tricky to put back in, but it does give a good idea what is inside us.

I bought the SMARTLAB; You explore it - Human Body for my homeschool elementary anatomy class. My kids (Pre-K - Grade 7)love taking the body parts out and placing them on the "organ"ization sheet and then reassembling them in the model. The organs have a squishy, sticky feel to them while they are new, but I fear that all the handling will have them looking dirty and fuzzy eventually. It's been a couple week and they still look new.
It is a good hands-on tool for elementary anatomy students.

This is a gift for my daughter this Christmas. She's seen it at bookstores and in catalogs, and wanted one of her own. She's going to love the hands-on learning, as well as the tweezers for taking out parts. It's definitely a creative toy - and they are learning while having fun.

I bought this for my best friend's granddaughter, a smart nine year old, and according to her it is great (not her word but I don't understand the modern vocabulary). Her grandfather doesn't really understand how it works, but the kid ia well pleased.

Grandpa is very happy because she is using her time with an educational toy rather than watching a talking sponge. Based on ehat I hear and see this is a great toy. If I can get the kid to teach me I might order one for myself.
