Bought this toy as a gift for my 3 year old nephew, who loves trucks and the outdoors. It really does have a great smell (like a lumber yard), and the parts are movable, and look useful and durable. It's a decent size too. The packaging mentions how it is made of reclaimed wood and plastic which is nice since it's a gift. My only complaint is that there is a spot in the truck for a driver, but no figures came with it.

We got this for our son for his third birthday. My husband and I are pleased with the materials used to make and package the product. My son has lots of fun playing with this in the yard. It is sturdy enough for him to scoop up egg-sized rocks. It is also easy for him to use it. I'm recommending this company's products to all of my friends.

After purchasing the excavator, we wanted to add another Sprig Truck to our collection and this front loader is great!!! simple, lightweight for our little one to carry, and it smells like a wood shop!! great job Sprig!! keep the toys coming.

Son loves the loader. Has the excavator, too and plays with them all the time. Pretty durable and great for a sand box. Would recommend for 3 year olds and up.

I bought this truck for my 2 3/4 yo son to play with outside. It's held up well, has a lot of features, and he really enjoys it. The first thing he said though, was, "Where's the driver?" These trucks don't come with drivers even though there is a place for them to be inserted. Eco-friendly and inexpensive! Sprig Toys says this is in the works, but it seems odd given that they have other "people" with some different vehicles.

This was one of the best surprise gifts my grandson has received so far. My daughter said he let out a big squeel. It is just as the photo shows. It is very strong and my daughter said a it is a great outdoor working toy. I cleans up like new. I recommend it to anyone that is giving a construction toy to a child. Girls like it too!

This little toy is just what I was looking for. It is super DURABLE, thick plastic, the color is more of a recycled yellow which is different and fun. I bought the set of three. The size is perfect for little ones to carry around and big enough to play in the dirt/sand with. I am pleased.

My 1 year old grandson love this truck. He enjoys picking up sand at the beach and moving it to his dump truck. And my daughter appreciates that it is made of recycled materials. She said it doesn't even smell plastic!

Our two and a half year old boy, loves this loader. Proportionally the grips and overall size are perfect for him, though I would like to see Sprig release a jumbo size version, to take on Tonka. It was a nice surprise to find the empty seat in the loader perfectly holds Playmobil and Viking toy characters, very smart design. I respect the attempt to minimized packaging, is just what all toy companies should be doing. The Wood-Plastic Composite, appears just like plastic, but without the toxic smell, and seems very durable.

This reminds me of the old Tonka trucks I played with as a kid. My nephews loved it, used it to push around the post holiday debris. It is plastic but seems more durable than most. It comes with much less wasteful annoying packaging than most toys these days. Good fun for any kid who likes trucks.

We bought this for my son when he was 19 months. He loves trucks and loves this loader. It is a great size for the sandbox at home and easy to pack up and bring to the playground - it is always a big hit at the playground. It gets filled with rocks and sand or sent down the slide - it takes a beating and is still in great shape. We will definitely get him more Sprig trucks.

These trucks are a great alternative to more expensive metal toys and other cheap plastic trucks. The big handles allow even little hands to operate them for maximum fun. My 3 yr. old grandson simply loves them. I would absolutely buy more of these quality trucks from this manufacturer.

I made this purchase in an attempt to find fun, durable toys for outside that were safe and usable (but not have to pay big dollars!). Since I bought them for Christmas, we haven't had them outside yet. I really like the handle for the little ones to be able to grab hold and move the bucket up and down. I believe it will be very durable outside - making dirt walls and digging canyons. We purchased the dump truck and the loader. Since all the grandkids love to play outside when it gets warmer, can't wait to see what their imaginations will build! I plan to add to the collection! Sprig Toys are Awesome!

I have two little boys, age 2 and 3, and we all love these trucks! We bought the loader, the dump truck and the recycling truck. They're a great size and have lots of creative play features (like the truck cab flips up to insert "drivers," the large handle on top is perfect for "steering," etc.). I have a B.S. in Child Development and am picky about my kids toys. I am impressed with the excellent quality even though they're relatively inexpensive. We've owned them for about a month now and they're in as good condition as they were when we bought them and, believe me, they've been played with! These trucks are GREAT!!

We got this truck for our son and he absolutely loves it. We also have other Sprig trucks and he puts them through their paces out in rocky dirt and mud and they hold up incredibly well.

I love the fact that it's made out of recycled materials and the smell of the pine that the plastic is blended with is lovely. Quite a difference between that and other plastic trucks.

It's medium sized and good for little hands without being too small to really be fun.

I purchased this for my son's 3rd birthday. We haven't given it to him yet, but the toy looks like it will be lots of fun and much enjoyed. I really like that there is little packaging and that it is eco-friendly!

I got this for my son when he was 2 to bring to the beach. He loved playing with them in the sand, as did I. We also bought the dump truck and excavator and they too are great. He loves them and they have now been back from the beach and after a good washing are doing great. He does not use them in the dirt yet but I think as long as you do not actually try and excavate packed dirt and just use them in the sandbox they will stand the test of time. I love all the motions like the real tractor and he does too. Would recommend them 2 thumbs up unless you really are trying to dig out packed dirt then maybe you should try getting a real loader as these are only toys! :)

My 2 1/2 year old really enjoys playing with truck. The handles are easy to lift up and down and fit his little hand perfectly. He has fun scooping up random toys on the floor and dumping them into the back of his dump truck. Product is very light weight and durable. I am looking forward to my son being able to use it in the sandbox this summer! Quality construction.

Good size scoop lifts high and looks realistic. Wheels move smoothly. It takes two hands at the same time to lift and dump a load. Fantastic for an almost 4-year old. Toddlers would not be able to unlatch the scoop and dump it without jerking the whole truck around.

This is a nice well constructed plastic toy. It seems to be durable and my young nephews liked the toys. Their Mother liked the lack of pinch points and the fact they are made from recycled material. I am now in the process of purchasing them for my children.

This item wasn't as large or exciting as I thought it would be. It was much smaller than it looked online. I was really glad I ordered two toys and not just the one, as I think the three year old would have been a little disappointed. The item arrived very quickly and well packaged though.

I bought this toy for my 22 month old son for Christmas. When it finally arrived (seriously late by the way but I'm not entirely sure that was amazon's fault) I thought at first it wasn't even in a package. It had a tiny little sliver of cardboard fitted around two of the wheels, understandable I suppose since it's an eco friendly company, anyway rather than trying to find a box or attempting to wrap it we just set it out under the tree. The toy was a nice size and the top opens up so you can put a little person inside, it's very light weight and my son loved it but it broke about three days later. The latch that keeps the top shut after you put a person in completely broke off, the toy is still usable but the entire experience was pretty annoying. I know kids can be rough on things but so should manufactures, when it's brand new I don't think it's unreasonable to expect it to last more than a few days.

Purchased this loader for my 20 month old son. It's was a good price (~$11) when I purchased it. Light weight and made with some interesting plastic wood composite stuff. It's a bit difficult to make the claw part move as it takes a bit of strength to unclick it from it's original position. The arm moves easily enough and is quite smooth. Overall though, it's more of a toy for a child that loves to pretend play with cars and trucks. My son has probably picked it up twice since I brought it home. Great toy to have in the toy box but it's not getting any use.

We have the sprig eco dump truck and digger. They are great fun and big hits at the sand box. We expected the same from the front loader, but were very disappointed to discover that it tips over if left alone with almost any amount of sand or rocks in the scooper. Hopefully sprig will correct this design mistake with a revised version, which we will happily buy as the prices for these quality toys are very reasonable.
