I love ZOOB toys for so many reasons. My sons play quietly for long periods of time, happily being creative and building the most amazing things. We give sets as gifts as often as possible and I am always surprised at how many people are not familiar with the line. The pieces (there are 5 different shapes which are different colors so that one can keep them straight) connect 20 diiferent ways and give you endless possibilities for building fun. It also allows you to make moveable creations (unlike many other building sets). The pieces are very durable. My 180 lb husband has stepped on a few and they survived without a crack. Last Year Santa brought a large ZOOB set and during the year my son remarked on how he wished there were wheels so he could design vehicles. Then we found this set- perfect! It does not disappoint:)

Quite a few reviews compared ZOOB to Legos which is to compare apples to oranges. I have been a major Lego fan since I could assemble two blocks, and have already purchased sets for my son, but Legos are more about building buildings, boats, man-made things in general, whereas ZOOB is much more organic allowing you to create living movable things such as dinosaurs, spiders, snakes, creatures of all shapes, including the primordial. You can also build cars and motorcycles, but the point is this toy is more for building singular objects rather than the cities and villages I used to build with Legos. The toy is sturdy if handled properly. It has been entertaining for the adults and children in our family.

My "not quite four year old" received this product as a Christmas gift. He loves building toys, and loves cars, and enjoys putting together toy cars. This is easy for a four year old to manipulate, but allows a child to create his or her own designs. It works in a manner similar to K'Nex, but the pieces are easier to snap together, and therefore less frustrating.

Zoob is a great product! Fun and colorful. Easy to follow directions. Fun to create your own stuff, my kids make robots (or something they call robots.) Easy to put together, stay together well and come apart when needed. This is a great toy for a child or adult who likes to create and build. My boys are 7 and 4-1/2 and they play with this together.

I think that the zoob racer set is really cool. I like it cause you can build stuff relly cool out of it. I have built a submarine, flying machine, racer car that can fly, and some things from the book. I was really fun, and I want to get more of this stuff. I really want to try the remote control one, maybe I'll get it for my birthday or christmas. I think other people should get it. I really like doing this toy with Mom and Dad

Zoob car design works with other Zoob pieces to allow for so many possibilities. Loads of fun, and I think the age recommendation is right on. My 4-yr-old needed a little help with this one the first couple of times. This toy does take a beating as the monster trucks fly down the steps and into walls without a broken piece to date.

we got Zoobs years ago and we love them but we couldnt find them anywhere!!! the ones we had bought our kids were breaking from all the use i saw these and didnt think twice about getting them!! my kids make all kinds if things not just the things in the books!!!

This toy was suggested by my son's physical therapist to help him improve his wrist strength (writing problems). He has a lot of building toys but this one works the wrist more and is super fun. He has made dozens of different vehicles and contraptions with it and really likes it. I would recommend any Zoobs, but the Car Designer Set was real hit.

9.) At first I hated the toy but now I love it!

My son gets bored easily but I am surprised he still plays with this toy over and over. At first my opinion of it wasn't good. He looked at the complicated models that came in the pamphlet and became frustrated and wanted me to make them. I tried for a few seconds and couldn't do it and gave up (okay I didn't try that hard but I was trying to watch a movie!). My husband was more patient and built a few of the models. It took him some time as you have to study the pictures closely to figure out how to do it. For a while this toy was annoying for us "mommy, daddy make this one----please! Well after the pamphlets were misplaced and after laying down the law that if he can't play without getting frustrated we would put the toy away he began to explore on his own. Then magic happened--he began making all sorts of self-invented vehicles. Now he plays for extended periods of time and proudly shows me his creations. I am impressed by the complexities of some of his vehicles. I guess you get better with so much practice. Now I love the toy! Another good toy my son loves is "super marble run". This one is another winner.

Not only my son (5 years old) but WHOLE family having fun with this great toy. :) ZOOB is very nice without any extensions, but ZOOB with WHEELS it's something very special!
Very recommended.

My 8-year-old K'Nex expert loves this Car Designer kit. He says "it's like building your own toys." I thought it might not be much of a challenge, but the interlocking pieces take time and patience to create each figure. Highly recommended for the 7- to 8-year-old age range.

This is such a great toy for kids to just sit down and let their creative juices flow. My 9 year old son loves creating his own cars. I am going to invest in a tub of these things for him to go to town with. Great toy!

Great toy for boys. Says 6 & Up but my 3 yearold loves it. Gave one to my nephew at his birthday party and all the kids descended and played with it for quite some time. Pieces look fragile but are not. Good idea for any kid who loves cars and building things. Great father-son activity as well.

Gave it to our 6 year old son for Christmas last year. He loves anything with wheels and he loves Legos. Zoobs combined the two very well. He has transformed these little things into everything!! These are a quality toy!

I bought ZOOB 75 for my 6-year-old grandson at Christmas. he and the rest of the family loved it. When asked what he wanted for his birthday in April, his answer was "ZOOB Car Designer". Accordingly, I ordered it. UK suppliers were out of stock, so the present was late for his birthday, but well worth waiting for. keeps him amused for hours and gets him away from the ubiquitous TV cartoons.

My boys are all transportation and building, and this is the best of both worlds. My husband is a mechanical engineer and loves how creative you can get with the Zoob building sets because they can articulate and move. But my boys wanted WHEELS! This has made our box of Zoobs many times more attractive to my boys. They have built many of their own designs for space rovers, cars, etc. My two year old has pinched his finger a couple of times snapping them together, so we are working with him on that. But they are not recommended for his age, and now I understand better why. They just love playing toether. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who has transportation boys like I do.

The kids loved this toy and in seconds were able to construct several automobiles of different shapes and sized. It is also very derable because as the evening went on people did step on some of the designs by accident and the just came apart rather the broke due to the pressure of an adults weight.

Our son has the other Zoob sets which he loves, and wanted something which could roll and work with his other cars. This set is ideal with 12 wheels and about 64 normal zoobs, and he loves it. The set comes with instructions for over 12 different cars and he has been busy attempting to make these..
